Maternity & Post-Natal Reflexology

Reflexology is a fantastic way to support your body and mind through all of the changes you will experience during pregnancy and your post-natal period.

I often have clients come to me towards the end of their pregnancy when their midwife has suggested they try reflexology to help prepare for birth. However, introducing reflexology much earlier in the process is much more beneficial.

During your first reflexology treatment we will discuss your current health, any symptoms or issues you are experiencing both pregnancy related or otherwise, your pregnancy journey so far, you current lifestyle and wellbeing.

After getting you comfortable on the couch, using additional support cushions as necessary - particularly if you are in your third trimester, and cleansing your feet with hot towels, I will provide a relaxing and comforting, individually tailored,

pregnancy specific, duopody treatment.

Please note that many of the other treatments I have available are not suitable during pregnancy. This is due to the position required on the couch for the treatments. From 28 weeks, it is advised to avoid lying on your back as there is the possibility of compressing a major blood vessel and restricting blood flow to the uterus. This therefore makes it more difficult to provide treatments such as facial reflexology & supine Indian head massage. With foot reflexology we can position you in a seated position with extra cushioning for your comfort and support.

Reflexology can help support you through your pregnancy by:

Supporting you with any pregnancy related symptoms

Improving sleep

Aiding relaxation

Relieving stress and anxiety

Releasing tension

Improving mood & overall wellbeing

Assisting hormonal regulation

Improving circulation

Improving energy levels

Providing a safe space for you to be heard and feel supported

Helping you to prepare for labour and birth

Supporting you through your post-natal recovery.

Client Reviews

Fertility & Maternity Treatments

“I’m so grateful to have found Sam, she’s an exceptional reflexologist. From the first appointment Sam took the time to get to know me, my health concerns and reasons for being there. She listened and used her experience and knowledge to give me the best treatments possible. I started seeing Sam at the start of my fertility/ IVF journey and I continue to go now I’m pregnant. Sam has helped me beyond words, her and her treatments keep me calm, reduce my stress and anxiety, and have supported my body and mind through a really difficult time. I can’t recommend her highly enough!”

Post Natal Treatments
